Generally speaking, a person is medically needy and eligible for Medicaid here in the state of Florida if they have trouble doing the activities of daily living. They can’t walk or stand without assistance, they can’t feed themselves without assistance. Now, that’s not cooking a meal, that’s just if someone puts a meal down in front of you, you can use your utensils to feed yourself. You can’t dress yourself without assistance, you can’t bathe yourself without assistance and while we’re in that room, you can’t toilet yourself without assistance. If a person can do all of those, then we look and see if they suffer from cognitive impairment. That would be the other way to become eligible. Don’t wait to learn more on our YouTube Channel.
